Welcome to OOOK LIVE! OOOK LIVE is an online live streaming product provided by OOOK INC. (hereinafter referred to as “OOOK”), registered at 999 Third Avenue, Suite 4600, Seattle, Washington 98104. The OOOK LIVE Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Privacy Policy”) will help you understand our collection, use, storage and sharing of personal information and your rights.

1. Relevant Definitions

1.1 Individual user: refers to the individual who registers OOOK LIVE with his/her mobile phone number, email registration, or third-party login media (WeChat, Facebook, Google, Canvas);

1.2 Enterprise user: refers to the individual or organization, including but not limited to legal person, government agency, other organization, partnership or individual business, etc. who registers, logs in and uses OOOK LIVE products and services as well as has access to management rights (hereinafter referred to as “enterprise user”); enterprise users can invite and authorize individual users to join the enterprise organization as their end users.

1.3 End user: refers to individual or individual user who uses OOOK LIVE by using OOOK LIVE services subscribed by enterprises or being invited by enterprise users to join enterprise organizations. When an enterprise user invites you to join an enterprise organization as an end user, you receive the invitation and can choose whether to join the enterprise user.

1.4 Enterprise user administrator: refers to the individual designated by the enterprise user who has the operation authority of the enterprise user management background system; enterprise user administrator can be one or more.

1.5 Enterprise-controlled data: refers to the information and data submitted or generated by OOOK LIVE by enterprise users and end-users of such enterprise users, including information submitted by enterprise users or requested from end users, information assigned to end users by enterprise users as well as information submitted to enterprise users by end users to complete work requirements and meet daily management requirements of the enterprise.

1.6 Personal information: refers to all kinds of information related to identified or identifiable natural persons recorded electronically or by other means.

1.7 Personal sensitive information: refers to the personal information that may easily lead to infringement of natural person’s personal dignity or harm of personal and property safety once disclosed or illegally used, such as personal biometric information, bank account number, children’s personal information, etc. (We will prominently identify specific sensitive personal information in bold in this Privacy Policy).

1.8 Child: refers to a minor under the age of 14.

2. How Do We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

During your use of OOOK LIVE Service, we strictly abide by the provisions of laws, regulations and agreements with users, collect and use the information that you provide or generate from your use of the Service in accordance with the manner described below in this Privacy Policy, so as to provide Service to you, optimize our Service and ensure the security of your account. If we use your personal information beyond the purpose stated at the time of collection and directly or reasonably related to it, we will inform you again and obtain your express consent before using your personal information.

2.1 Register personal account: when you sign up for an OOOK LIVE account, we need you to provide some information:

2.1.1 If you choose to create a new account, you need to enter your mobile phone number or email, based on which an account nickname will be automatically generated for creating an account for the Service as required by you.

2.1.2 If you choose to register with your WeChat (WeChat ID), you need to provide you WeChat account name, avatar and your mobile phone number for creating an account for the Service as required by you.

2.1.3 If you choose to register via Google, you need to provide Gmail account for creating an account for the Service as required by you.

2.1.4 If you choose to register via Facebook, you need to provide Facebook email for creating an account for the Service as required by you.

2.1.5 If you choose to register via Canvas, you need to provide your WeChat ID, avatar, region (location), gender and your mobile phone number for creating an account for the Service as required by you.

When you actively bind WeChat, Google, and Facebook in your Personal Center, the system will also need to collect the above information.

2.2 Register enterprise user account: when you need to register as an enterprise user, you need to provide the information related to the founder and the enterprise so that we can create an enterprise user account for you. If you fail to provide such information, you can neither register as an enterprise user nor user relevant services.

Enterprise users shall ensure that they have obtained the explicit consent of the end users in advance before uploading, authorizing and managing their end users’ personal information, including name, avatar and mobile phone numbers. Enterprise users can only upload, authorize and manage the end users’ information necessary for operational and functional purposes, and end users have been fully informed of the purpose, scope and use of relevant data collection.

2.3 End user: when you are an enterprise user or an end user of an enterprise, to provide OOOK LIVE Service for you, we collect information and data submitted or generated by you during the use of OOOK LIVE (hereinafter referred to as “enterprise-controlled data”), which may include:

2.3.1 The name, mobile phone number, name, avatar and other personal information submitted or requested by the enterprise user for the registration of the enterprise end user;

2.3.2 The enterprise, email address, UserID and other information related to the enterprise user or assigned by the enterprise user to the end user; other data submitted by enterprise users, such as organizational structure, etc.

You understand that as for the personal information in the enterprise-controlled data, the enterprise user is the controller of the personal information, and we only deal with it according to the instructions of the enterprise user (including the operation of the enterprise user and the enterprise user administrator through the management background, etc.) as well as the agreement between us and the enterprise user. If you have any questions or comments about the collection purpose, scope and use of the above enterprise-controlled data, you understand and agree that you should contact the enterprise or enterprise user administrator to which you belong.

2.4 Connection service: during your use of the OOOK LIVE Service, we will collect your IP address. We use this data in order for you to connect to our server. If you refuse to provide it, you will not be able to use our Service. To help you understand and diagnose your connection status to the Service, we will collect your wireless network, Internet connection status, and whether you are authorized to connect to the Service and its network.

2.5 Service optimization and security: in order to ensure the normal use of the Service, maintain the normal operation of the Service as well as ensure the security of your use of our products, improve and optimize your service experience, we will collect your device model, operating system, System version, network type, IMEI, MAC address, Android ID, list of installed apps, APP crash records, traffic statistics, operation logs, audio and video quality data (volume and video&audio packet loss rate, audio&video quality data have nothing to do with the content of your call), function usage record (coupon usage record, authorization time of the third-party apps, order number of payment, product information, amount and service supplier); to improve the efficiency of access to live streaming, we will identify the channel number or live streaming link in your clipboard. We will not collect and process any information in your clipboard except for that.

2.6 Device permission: you need to enable camera permission and microphone permission on the Live Streaming Preparation page, Join Live Streaming page, and Live Streaming page. If you fail to enable corresponding permissions, you cannot use the audio and video call functions.

2.7 Live streaming information record: we’ll collect the start and end time of the live streaming, name of live streaming, channel number of the live streaming, the start time, end time and stay time of each participant so that the live streaming creator can check relevant information of the live streaming; if you’re the live streaming creator, you can learn the above information by logging in to the workbench of the OOOK LIVE Service.

2.8 Recording function: during your use of recording function of OOOK LIVE, you need to provide relevant audios and videos for processing. If you fail to do so, you cannot use the recording function.

Besides, if your live room mode is any of “Teaching”, “Seminar” and “Classroom”, the System will perform cloud recording automatically after the live streaming. If you enable the live streaming of the above modes, you have authorized OOOK LIVE to record.

When joining the live room, the System will record automatically or the presenter (live room creator) will record manually. Your barrage contents (text speech) in the live room, the audio speeches and video images of being an interactive user may also be recorded. If you join the live room successfully, you’ve authorized the System and the presenter to record.

In using the cloud recording function, the recorded information will be saved in the cloud storage space under the enterprise account of the live streaming creator. You can check out the recorded contents via the links of cloud recording. You can also modify the viewing permissions of the cloud recording videos to authorize others to check out. If you set viewing permission for a cloud recorded video to Visible to All, you have authorized all registered OOOK LIVE users to view the video; if you set the viewing permission of a cloud recorded video to Participant Only, you have authorized the users who have entered the live room where the video belongs to watch the video.

The storage space of an individual account is released after the individual account is deregistered. The storage space of an enterprise account is released one month after the enterprise account is deregistered or invalid. After the account is released, the contents stored in the cloud storage space of the account are permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

2.9 Network speed test: to ensure your use experience, OOOK LIVE will automatically detect your network condition after you enter the live streaming page, including uplink, downlink, delay and jitter data. Your access to the Live Streaming page indicates that you’ve agreed to the network speed test by the System.

2.10 Translation function: your use of translation function indicates that you’ve consented to your voice being recognized and translated by the system, and other participants can see your translation results.

2.11 Screen sharing: If you use the screen sharing function, you agree to display the images and sounds of the selected Windows in the live room in the form of audio and video streams, and other participants can see your shared content.

2.12 Problem Feedback: if you have any comments or recommendations during your use of OOOK LIVE, you can submit your complaints or recommendations to “Problem Feedback” in the live room. To solve your problem more quickly and efficiently, we will record your screenshots (optional), problem description, userID, feedback time, and channel number.

You can also report your problem to the technical support staff on the official website of OOOK LIVE. To quickly identify your problem, you need to fill in your email or phone number, problem category, problem descriptions and appendix (optional).

2.13 Notes: when you use the Notes Function, the System will save your notes contents in the cloud storage space under your individual account. You can check all saved notes contents under “My Notes”.

2.14 Chat Room: when you chat with other users in the same live streaming via the chat room, we’ll encrypt the corresponding chat data and pass it to your friend you chat with.

2.15 Presenter: the participants in the Participant List can see the avatars and nicknames of all other participants. The presenter (creator of the live streaming) and the teaching assistant can bring participants who can only watch to the stage to become interactive users. If the microphone and camera of the interactive user are enabled, all the participants in the live room can see the audio and video information of the interactive user. The presenter (live room creator) and teaching assistant can also bring the interactive user off the stage to become who can only watch.

In addition, the presenter (live streaming creator) and teaching assistant can enable or disable the microphone and camera of the interactive user on behalf of other interactive users. Your successful access to the live streaming indicates that you agree on the foregoing operations of the presenter (live streaming creator) and teaching assistant.

2.16 File Function: the presenter (live room creator), teaching assistant and those with PPT permission can upload files to the live room. For the enterprise members, the files will be synchronized to the Enterprise Materials Center and Personal Materials Center; for the individuals, the files will be synchronized to the Personal Materials Center.

The presenter (live room creator), teaching assistants, and those with PPT permissions can set the file to be shared by the participants if it is added to the Selected list, whether it is from Personal or Enterprise Materials. If it’s set to be shared, other participants will also preview the file. If you add the file from your Personal Materials to the “Selected” list, you’ve authorized that the presenter (live room creator), teaching assistant and those with PPT permissions can share the file with the participants. If you disagree with such operation, do not add the Personal Material to the “Selected” list.

2.17 Material management: the enterprise members can upload file in the Material Center of the enterprise and all other members of the enterprise can check all materials of the enterprise. The enterprise materials can be directly used by the enterprise members in the live room under the enterprise.

The Personal Materials Function is available to both enterprise and individual users. Individuals can use the files in their personal material directly in the live room.

2.18 We may use cookies and other relevant technologies to collect your information for the purpose of ensuring the security of our services.

2.19 In accordance with relevant laws, regulations and state standards, we may collect and use your personal information without your authorization and consent under following circumstances:

1) Related to the performance of our obligations under laws and regulations;

2) Directly related to national security and national defense security;

3) Directly related to public security, public health or major public interests;

4) Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgment;

5) For the purpose of protecting your or others’ personal life, property and major legal rights and interests but it’s difficult to obtain your authorization and consent;

6) The personal information involved is disclosed to the public by yourself;

7) Necessary to enter into and perform the contract as required by you;

8) Personal information collected from legally publicly disclosed information, such as legal news reports, government information disclosure and other channels;

2.20 User experience improvement: to help you obtain product information and optimize product and transaction services, OOOK LIVE may provide you with product information, service information and other related information or activity notification by phone or SMS through the contact information you provided (such as mobile phone number and email address), so that you can learn about relevant information and experience relevant products and services in a timely manner.

3. Information Storage

3.1 Method, Duration and Region of Information Storage

We will only store your personal information in a secure manner for such a period of time as is necessary for the purpose of the Service or under the conditions stipulated by laws and regulations. For example, we will keep web logs related to your use of OOOK LIVE Service for no less than six months as required by laws and regulations. When your personal information exceeds the retention period, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, unless otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations regarding the retention period of specific information. We will store users’ personal information collected in China in China. If necessary information must be provided to OOOK LIVE overseas operators for cross-border services, we will take effective technology and security measures to ensure the security of your information.

3.2 Notice for the Discontinuation of the Product or Service

When our product or service discontinue, we’ll notify you through message, announcement and other forms, and delete your personal information or anonymize it within a reasonable period, except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations.

4. Information Security

4.1 Security Protection Measures

We strive to ensure the security of users’ information to prevent information disclosure, loss, improper use, unauthorized access and leakage. We adopt extensive security protection measures including technical protection means, management system control, security system guarantee and many other aspects, in order to ensure that users’ personal information security is reasonably protected.

We suggest that enterprise users adopt egress networks that support transmission link encryption to avoid security risks of data theft caused by malicious attacks on intermediate nodes of the network, and ensure that OOOK LIVE can effectively guarantee data security by encrypting multiple data contents and network links.

The technical protection measures we use include, but are not limited to, firewalls, encryption (such as TLS), de-identifiers or anonymising, access control measures, etc.

You can cancel your OOOK LIVE account by following the steps below.

1) On your mobile device, log in to OOOK LIVE and click on the profile picture to enter the "Personal Center";

2) Click on "Settings" - "Account Management" and select "Cancel Account" on the page, then follow the steps to cancel your account.
